A quick visit to AT&T iPhone page reflects that, while white iPhone 4’s and refurbished black iPhone 4’s are available, they are entirely out of both the 16 and 32GB models of the iPhone 4, leading many to wonder if the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 could be WWDC’s “One More Thing.”
Now, before you get too excited, this could merely be a glitch in AT&T’s system, or they could have been late on the update in ordering more units when their stock ran low, but the questions that seems to come to mind is: unless there’s a new device on the way, why would AT&T be running out? Surely they wouldn’t let this happen under ordinary circumstances?
When Apple stock runs out like this it’s usually a very good indication that a product refresh is on its way. Sure, it could just be coincidence, but would Apple really allow it’s biggest U.S. carrier to run out of stock on a device that is expected to run until at least September? I’m not so sure…
What do you think? Is there hope on WWDC’s horizon for a new iPhone? Myself, I wouldn’t count on it – but hey, anything is possible, right?
