Tim Cook took the stage at the 2013 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference keynote today, and led off with some amazing numbers.
This is the 24th WWDC, which Tim says is the longest-running developers conference that Apple is aware of.
Two-thirds of all attendees are first timers. 100 sessions, 120 hands-on labs, 1000 Apple engineers.
Apple has six million registered developers, 1.5 million since WWDC 2012.
Apple retail stores now welcome over 1 million users in their 407 stores in 14 countries.
The App Store has seen over 50 billion apps downloaded.
There are 900,000 apps in the App Store, 90% of which are downloaded each month.
There are 575 million accounts. They have more accounts with credit cards attached than any store on the internet.
Apple has paid developers $10 billion, $5 billion in the last year.
The Mac has an installed base of 72 million users. Sales of the Mac are up 100% over the last 5 years, while the PC is up just 18%.
