Earlier today, the first iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak was unleashed for all current iOS devices – and it has been extremely popular from moment one, unsurprisingly. In fact, according to iOS hacker @planetbeing, who is a member of the ‘evasi0n’ jailbreak development team, it reached over 100,000 downloads within 10 minutes of being released!

Cydia has been swamped all day as users swarm to install and try the new jailbreak – and with 100,000 users applying the jailbreak in just 10 minutes, it’s not hard to see why Cydia’s servers are being slammed! That’s a pretty impressive benchmark, and goes to show that jailbreaking remains quite popular, despite Apple’s attempt to add new formerly jailbreak-only features in iOS 6.
