Apple has struggled to keep up with iPad mini demand ever since the device was released – although ship times have steadily improved since then. Today, ship times in U.S. and Canadian regions from the Apple Online Store improved to just 1-3 business days, down from the 3-5 business day estimate posted at the end of January. European ship times have also improved to 3-5 business days, down from the previous 1-2 week estimate.
Apple confirmed at their recent quarterly earnings call that supplies of the iPad mini were constrained – but it’s great to see ship times steadily decrease. Apple has apparently almost caught up to demand in most regions at this point, which is a great sign that they are regaining strong control over the manufacturing and production issues.
