Instagram has been taking a lot of criticism over the recent privacy and photo ownership controversy caused by a change in their terms of service – and Instagram competitor Flickr is taking advantage of Instagram’s PR dump the best way they know how: by offering three free months of Flickr Pro service to lure users from Instagram over to their own service (via TheNextWeb)!
Please enjoy 3 months of unlimited storage as our way of saying thanks this holiday season. So go on and snap your amazing photos and upload to Flickr — yes, as many as you’d like all day, everyday.
Here’s what you get:
- Unlimited uploads (up to 50MB per photo)
- Unlimited viewing of your entire photo library
- Post photos in up to 60 groups
- Download your original, high-resolution photos – whenever you need them
- Upload and play unlimited HD videos
Flickr Pro accounts offer unlimited uploads, high-res downloads, and the ability to post in up to 60 different Yahoo groups, in addition to the photo storage and sharing features offered in Flickr’s free version. The pro accounts usually cost $25 per year.
To take advantage of the three free months of Flickr Pro service, just head on over to Flickr’s holiday offer page and apply the deal to your account. If you don’t have a Flickr account, you can create one and apply the offer to a new account as well. Enjoy – and happy Flickring!
