Were you one of the lucky folks who got your preorder in for an iPad mini last Friday? If so, even if you haven’t received a shipping confirmation from Apple, it still might be on its way! Here’s how to check.
There’s no reason to panic. Your iPad mini has, in all likelihood, already shipped, and is right now sitting in a delivery center in the United States, just waiting for Apple to give the okay to have it delivered to your door.
Now you know I am definitely an obsessive compulsive when it comes to waiting for my Apple gear to arrive. You may recall the hell I went through back in September while waiting for my iPhone 5 to arrive. No need to worry if your iPad mini has left China though, here’s how to check. (Sorry, only works with UPS, and if you live in the United States.
1. Go to UPS.com’s Track By Reference Page.
2. For Shipment Type, make sure “Package” is selected.
3. For Shipment Reference, enter the phone number associated with your Apple ID, without dashes. (In other words, XXXXXXXXXX, not XXX-XXX-XXXX)
4) Use the default Shipment Date Range.
5) Leave Shipper Account blank.
6) Select your destination country from the drop down list.
7) Enter your ZIP code under Destination ZIP/Postal Code.
8) Hit Track.
If UPS has your iPad mini in their system you should see it on your screen. There will be a handy-dandy tracking number and a shipping history on the screen.
