Many users who rushed to pre-order the iPhone 5 weren’t quite fast enough, and didn’t manage to get their order in before ship times slipped to two weeks. According to AppleInsider, however, all is not lost – some users are receiving sn email from Apple saying they won’t have to wait after all!
This should come as excellent news to those that just missed being able to pre-order for delivery on launch day. It’s unclear how far the improved ship times stretch, but it’s likely the email was only sent to a small number of customers as Apple adjusted their inventory numbers.
