How to: Open Files, Applications, And Folders From The Get Info Window
Within the Get Info window, you have a Preview area that is quite powerful and allows you to launch content into the default application for the specific file format.
To access this area simply select a file in the Finder, and navigate to File > Get Info from the Menu Bar. Alternatively, you can press Command + I on your keyboard to access this information.
Once open, proceed to the Preview area. You will notice that files containing video and audio will allow you to play the content directly in the Get Info window. If you double click on the preview image, the file will launch into the default application for that file type.
This also works for applications and folders. Applications will launch and folders will open in a Finder window.
