Apple has just released a new beta of OS X Lion 10.7.5 to developers, with a build number of 11G36. The updated beta comes two weeks since the previous seed, and marks the third beta of the updated seeded to developers.
As we’ve noted in the past, it’s common for Apple to continue updating its older operating systems for a while after a new release rather than just dropping support for users of the prior version. The updates tend to focus only on performance and bug fixes, however, rather than adding any new features.
As with previous 10.7.5 builds, Apple is asking developers to focus on graphics performance and quality; image & media importing, editing or viewing; and networking reliability & performance. The update weighs in at 1.92GB for the combo version, and 1.15GB for the Delta update, and is available now through the Mac Developer Center.
