JohnnyTwoShoes, particularly known for their iOS hit app Plunderland, brings another great looking game to the table. Prevail is a side-scrolling action game similar to Plunderland as far as graphics, though there also seem to be a lot of unique and creative features in the game.
The basic storyline of Prevail is that you friends seemed to have been abducted by a ship and you have to save them. There seem to be a lot of items to collect, soit sounds like you would interact with characters within the game to achieve the collection of items. Prevail also features the ability to work out interrelationships between factions and use it to your advantage.
The art style that we all know and love from Plunderland also exists in the world of Prevail. In Prevail there is an open world, so you’re not limited to a certain path throughout the game. I found it interesting that even though Prevail is a side-scroller, it still has an open world, which you don’t see too often.
JohnnyTwoShoes is pushing the boundaries of what an iPhone game can do – for instance, you can go anywhere throughout the planets with no loading times, whatsoever. Prevail is shaping up to be an awesome action side-scroller. Look for the game to make its way to the App Store within the next couple of months.
