Apple is planning to build a large Apple Store in Brussels, with 2014 being set as a possible opening date, Belgian newspaper La Libre reports. The store would be situated on the Toison d’Or avenue, inside an apartment building measuring a whopping 270,000 square feet.
Planning permission has already been applied for by contractor Prowinko, and with the building of the store itself expected to take 12-14 months, it should be comfortably ready in time for 2014.
A European hub, Brussels would no doubt attract thousands of customers to an Apple Store, while customers from neighbouring cities will also be keen to visit. It’s also worth noting that this is still very much a rumor, and it will probably stay like that for a long while, with Apple only normally confirming their stores 1-2 weeks before opening.
