The Mobee Magic Charger is basically a rechargeable battery pack for your Apple Magic Mouse. It comes with a USB powered charging station and of course the battery pack. The Magic Charger retails for about $50 and can be viewed on MobeeTechnology.com.
The charging station itself is very, very slim and fits in perfectly with your Mac setup. The bottom of the station has two rubber strips so the station will not move around on your desk. As I mentioned above, it is powered by USB, which means it is very portable and good for on-the-go charging.
The battery pack is very light-weight and is definitely lighter than the standard two double A batteries that the Magic Mouse uses. For me, this is a good thing, but the weight difference is definitely something to get used to. The battery is also very similar to that of Apple’s. It is all aluminum and the only difference is the Mobee logo and the cutout for the on/off switch.
Cons
The only downfall I did find to this product is the battery pack. The original one that came with it had a defective battery. The conductor was all messed up and the mouse would not turn on once I fully inserted the battery pack. However, I did contact Mobee Support and they were very good with replacing the battery. The second one came very quickly and it did work. It is good to know that a company will replace their defective products quickly.
Verdict
Rating: 4.5/5[rating:4.5]
The Mobee Magic Charger is definitely worth getting if you are constantly using the Magic Mouse. The battery pack lasts for about 5-6 days of heavy usage with only a 6 hour charging time. I can definitely recommend this product, especially if you find yourself replacing the batteries in your mouse often. Again, it retails for $50 and can be viewed here.
