The idea of using your iPod nano as a pocket watch is certainly nothing new. Steve Jobs himself started the trend with a jovial comment during the announcement of the new iPod nano, and the idea spread like wildfire. But a fascinating new concept from Australian designer Edwin Conan takes the concept in a new direction by allowing you to wear your nano old-school style – as a pocket watch!
The classic men’s watch will always be the pocket watch. While everyone else wears the iPod Nano as a wrist watch, why not bring a bit of yesterday to your style and distinguish yourself from the rest of the world by fashioning this admirable iPW (iPocketWatch)?
The iPocketWatch project (pointed out by The Loop) is currently gathering funding over at Pozible, an Australian KickStarter-like site, and has yet to reach its funding goal of A$6000 (about $6385 USD). The idea is very interesting though, and I am confident that it will reach its funding goal.
Transforming your iPod nano into a pocket watch is a great way to stand out from the crowd, and to distinguish yourself from the hordes of people currently using their nanos as wristwatches, all while adding a bit of yesteryear style to your everyday timekeeping. You can help fund the project with a pledge of any amount, and a pledge of A$39 (USD $41.50) will get you one of the first iPocketWatches in production.
Head on over to Pozible to make your pledge!
