I love coffee, but I also love my iPhone and iPad, which is why I was overjoyed to hear about the Scanomat TopBrewer – a dedicated espresso faucet (yes, faucet) which lets you brew a cuppa before you even get out of bed using a companion app for iOS.
The TopBrewer combines everything you need to make a great cup of espresso, including a grinder, the expresso brewer itself, and even a milk foamer, and hides it all under your kitchen counter, leaving only a sleek espresso faucet and a drip grate visible.
The device can make up to four cups of espresso per minute – which coincidentally is the exact amount I often need on an average Monday morning! To make things even better, the machine is capable of making both hot and cold drinks, so you’re covered on a hot summer afternoon as well as a cold winter’s day!
If you don’t have an iOS device, you can also control the Top Brewer using an embedded LCD touchscreen, but what’s the fun of that? There are no details on pricing or availability, but you can count on this costing a pretty penny when it finally hits the market.
