Just in time for the holidays, Starbucks has just released “Starbucks Cup Magic” (free, App Store Link), a new iPhone app that brings special deals and offers to Starbucks customers, and allows you to send Starbucks eGifts directly within the app.

Use the app to find and scan all five Starbucks Holiday Characters – on Red Cups, Christmas Blend bags, in-store and more – and watch as they magically come to life through augmented reality on your mobile device. Who knows what holiday magic you’ll discover…
In addition to the special offers and deals, the app also features an augmented reality twist – you can use the app to scan Starbucks coffee cups and coffee bags to make 5 special characters come to life on your device.
Starbucks plans to update the app with the seasons, and is planning a Valentines Day update to be released after the Christmas season has come to an end. The app is free, and available now (free, App Store Link).
