The iPad 2 hasn’t even been released yet, however a number of sources already have detailed reviews up for the device. I’m not quite sure how a site manages to have a review of the unreleased device yet, unless they managed to be able to gather enough information via Apple’s hands-on demonstration held after the iPad 2 event (or are such big names that Apple can’t resist sending them an iPad), but the reviews are up nevertheless.
So far, the reviews are by and large very positive, although several sites have mentioned slight drawbacks, such very slightly and rather insignificantly decreased battery life (Thanks, Walt Mossberg), some reports of poor still image quality from the iPad’s 2 video cameras (VIDEO cameras. Video. Whatever.), and Omar Wasow’s strange complaint that the iPad 2 fails to be a laptop. http://www.theroot.com/views/techies-are-wrong-again
Gizmodo has an excellent round-up of a wide variety of iPad 2 reviews from various sources, and I highly recommend that you give them a look over. Personally, I think that the more credible reviews are the ones that will start surfacing in a few days, after real-world users with no vested interest in content or the device itself have a chance to dig through it and provide their valuable input.
