Apple are close to completing the renovation on their Fifth Avenue Apple store, according to MacRumours. A statement released on the store’s online retail page announced it would be closed from 10pm on the 3rd of November to 10am on the 4th.
The renovation cost is estimated at around 6.6 million dollars, and it should replace the cube’s 90 glass panels with a simpler 15 panel design. A lot of the white paper covering the store has already been torn away, but due to construction barriers, this still remains hidden to the general public.
Workers are in the process of washing the ground around the cube, so we can only assume that the grand opening is not too far away. Apple’s best known retail store is arguably the one on Fifth Avenue, and so there are high expectations surrounding the new design and layout.
