It looks like someone got their hands on an iPhone 4S a little bit early. MacRumors reports that a new video posted on AppVV shows initial browser benchmarks for the new device, as well as Siri’s preference panel in Setting.app.
The Sunspider benchmark numbers now show a number of 2222.1ms, as well as a BrowserMark score of 89567. The iPhone 4, by comparison, gets a score of slightly less than 44,500, meaning that the iPhone 4S really is twice as fast as the iPhone 4, just as Apple announced at their media event.
It’s also notable that, within Siri’s settings, there is a setting called Raise to Speak, which is suspected to allow users to interact with Siri just by raising the phone to their ear.
