Steve Jobs took to the stage and today announced the iPad 2. Here is a run down of some of the key points with regards to the iPad 2:
- iPad 2 in both black and white
- Front and rear facing cameras
- Built in gyroscope
- 33% thinner
- Lighter, from 1.5lbs to 1.3lbs
- Dual Core Processor, A5 chip
- CPU is now twice as fast as iPad 1
- Graphics are nine times as fast as iPad 1
- Prices in line with iPad 1
- HDMI out cable
- Same 10 hour battery life as before
- Leather and Polyurethane cases that become stands available
- Starts at $499 (16GB), ends at $829 (64GB + 3GS)
- Shipping 11th March in US
- Shipping 25th to 26 further countries including UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany…
