A 9to5Mac reader has reported that the Thunderbolt Display he ordered in mid-August has now shipped, and is on its way to his home. What’s interesting, however, is that the display isn’t shipping from China, as many Apple products do, but from a holding location in Australia.
This tends to suggest that Apple has has the Thunderbolt displays finished for some time, but was waiting to complete software or firmware updates. Apple released Thunderbolt-related firmware updates for both the Mac Mini and MacBook Pro yesterday, and released a similar firmware update for the MacBook Air on Monday.
