Second Public Beta Seeds of iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS Sequoia 15.3 Now Available

Apple today seeded the second public betas of its upcoming iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and macOS Sequoia 15.3 updates for testing. The public betas come three weeks after Apple seeded the first public betas. Apple has also seeded the second public betas of tvOS 18.3 and watchOS 11.3.

Public beta testers can download and install the updates from the Settings app on each device after opting into the beta through Apple’s public beta testing website.

So far, no new Apple Intelligence features for the iPhone or iPad have been discovered, ‌although macOS Sequoia‌ 15.3 brings Genmoji to the Mac for the first time, allowing Mac users to create custom emoji characters that can be used in place of standard emoji.

Also, the iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and ‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.3 code indicates that the Home app is being readied to gain support for robot vacuums, allowing Matter and HomeKit vacuums to integrate with Apple’s smart home platform sometime in the future.

iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, and ‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.3 are all expected to be released to the public toward the end of January.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas or release candidates on their daily driver iPhone or iPad. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
