A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh eating zombies roam the streets for survivors.
An unparalleled adrenaline rush, gripping storyline, and unimaginable horrors await you.
Witness the return of Resident Evil 2.
The bad news is that the survival horror shooter is available as a free download with limited portions of the game being playable, after which players must purchase the full game to continue. However, there is good news, as Capcom is offering a discount of 75% off the game’s usual price from now until January 8. The base game can be purchased for $9.99, while all in-game rewards can be unlocked for $1.99. After January 8, the game will return to its regular price of $39.99.
Resident Evil 2 requires an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 series model, and iPads and Macs equipped with M1 chips or later are required on those platforms. The game is a universal purchase, meaning a single purchase provides access to the game across all three platforms, and it also supports cross-progression across supported Apple devices, so players can continue their progress whether playing on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
While the app is approximately 31GB in size, Capcom says that the installation process requires the target drive to have at least twice the size of the app in storage space available. An internet connection is also required to start the game.
Resident Evil 2 can now be downloaded from the App Store.
