Apple today released watchOS 11.1, the first major update to the operating system that runs on the Apple Watch Series 6 and later, all Apple Watch Ultra models, and the Apple Watch SE 2.
watchOS 11,1 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to “General” -> “Software Update.” The Apple Watch needs to have at least a 50% battery charge, needs to be on a charger, and needs to be in the range of the iPhone.
Apple’s release notes say watchOS 11.1 brings improvements and bug fixes, including a fix for an issue with writing breathing disturbances data to HealthKit for some users.
