Alongside the release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, Apple on Monday released updates for previous versions of the operating systems, iOS 17.7, iPadOS 17.7, macOS Ventura 13.7, and macOS Sonoma 14.7.
The updates include iPadOS 17.7 and iOS 17.7, which carry the build number 21H16. Updates for macOS Ventura 13.7, build 22G123, and macOS Sonoma 14.7, build 23H124 were also released.
Apple releases updates for older operating systems to allow users that either do not want to or cannot update their devices to the latest and greatest versions of their operating systems. The updates often include changes to enable hardware support, increase compatibility, and provide security fixes and performance improvements.
The updates can be installed via the same process as usual for system updates.
