Apple is planning on announcing the much-rumored 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC 2023 in June, says Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman. The laptop is expected to debut alongside Apple’s much-anticipated AR/VR headset, as well as iOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17.
Gurman revealed the plans in his newsletter on Sunday:
As part of watchOS 10, the company is planning to bring back widgets and make them a central part of the interface. This new strategy will debut at WWDC in June, alongside the unveiling of iOS 17, macOS 14, the 15-inch MacBook Air, and, of course, the much-anticipated mixed-reality headset.
We’ve been seeing rumors about a 15-inch MacBook Air since early 2021. We’ve also seen reports of ramped-up production for display panels for the new laptop as its release nears. The initial 15-inch model will be powered by the standard M2 chip and will offer multiple GPU configurations, says Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
