Following our report on Tuesday indicating that the official Steve Jobs biography would be available on November 21, Apple has now officially opened up pre-orders for the new book in iTunes and the iOS iBookStore.
While the book has been available for Pre-order on Amazon for a while, Amazon still shows the incorrect publishing date, displaying March 6, 2012 rather than November 21, 2011. Barnes and Noble updated their listing for the book with pre-orders and the latest information on Tuesday.
The book is simply entitled “Steve Jobs”, is a total of 448 pages long, and is based on over 40 interviews of Steve Jobs, including interviews with his friends and family. In commenting on the new book, Steve Jobs had the following to say:
I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of, such as getting my girlfriend pregnant when I was 23 and the way I handled that. But I don’t have any skeletons in my closet that can’t be allowed out.
The book is being authored by Walter Isaacson. Pre-orders are available immediately through the iBookStore on iTunes ($16.99, iTunes Link)
