As Evernote CEO Phil Libin just announced at the Evernote Trunk Conference in San Francisco, Evernote has now acquired popular image sharing app Skitch, and starting now, the app is now available completely free on the Mac App Store (Mac App Store Link)!
Skitch allows you to take quick screen grabs, make notes and annotations, and then share your images online with friends and colleagues. Besides being free, Skitch now also includes Twitter integration, and suports drag and drop.
Evernote is also promising stronger integration between Evernote and Skitch, so that you’ll be able to edit and annotate images from within Evernote. Further announcements include that Skitch will soon be coming to iOS devices, as well as to Windows.
To download Skitch, which as of this moment appears as a free app, head on over to the Mac App Store (Free, Mac App Store Link). For more information on the changes, check out the announcement coverage over at the EverNote Blog.
