The bad news keeps on coming for users of third-generation Apple TVs. It was announced last week that YouTube would no longer be available on third-gen Apple TV devices starting in March. Now, CBS All Access will no longer be available next month, following the streaming service’s transition to Paramount+.
MacRumors first spotted that the CBS All Access application has started displaying the following message to third-gen Apple TV users:
We wanted to let you know that starting March 4, 2021, CBS All Access will no longer be available on this device. On March 4, CBS All Access will become Paramount+. You can watch Paramount+ on Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, iPhone, or iPad. With AirPlay, you can also stream Paramount+ from your iOS device directly to any Apple TV (3rd generation or later) or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
The Paramount+ streaming service will launch on March 4, replacing CBS All Access.
the bad news keeps on coming for third-gen Apple TV owners, as a report last week told of a message that is currently being displayed before viewing videos from YouTube on the third-gen Apple TV:
Starting early March, the YouTube app will no longer be available on Apple TV (3rd generation). You can still watch YouTube on Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, iPhone, or iPad. With AirPlay, you can also stream YouTube from your iOS device directly to any Apple TV (3rd generation or later).
Owners of fourth-generation (Apple TV HD) and fifth-generation (Apple TV 4K) models will still be able to use both apps on their devices, as the devices’ built-in App Store will continue to update the apps.
