Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs succumbed to pancreatic cancer nine years ago today, one day after a media event where the company’s iPhone 4s debuted.
As is traditional, current Apple CEO, and close friend of Jobs, Tim Cook tweeted in remembrance of the Apple co-founder.
“A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.” — Maya Angelou. You’re always with us Steve, your memory connects and inspires us every day. pic.twitter.com/X85bjObkPK

Apple offers a “Remembering Steve” page on its website, published soon following the death of Jobs. The page is where over a million people from all over the world have shared their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Steve.
We’d like to join in remembering Steve Jobs,. We thank him for everything he accomplished and built. Without Mr. Jobs, this website wouldn’t exist, and we wouldn’t be doing what we love today. Steve Jobs wasn’t perfect, but he was almost always interesting. We miss you Mr. Jobs, thanks for everything.
