Leaker John Prosser on Wednesday claimed Apple will switch it up a bit this fall, announcing their new Apple Watch and iPad devices during early September, while unveiling the new iPhone 12 lineup in mid-October.
Prosser tweeted on Wednesday that the Apple Watch and iPad would be announced “Week 37 w/c Sep 7,” while the iPhone event would take place “Week 42 w/c Oct 12.” iPhone 12 devices would kickoff “week 42 w/c Oct 12,” shipping “week 43 w/c Oct 19.” iPhone 12 Pro devices would see preorders and shipping in November (Prosser didn’t apply an exact date).

Prosser also didn’t mention the exact iPad models that will be refreshed. However, current rumors point to a refreshed iPad mini and a new 10.8-inch iPad Air.
“With the staggered release of iPhone 12 and uncertainty of final dates for Pro models, there’s a chance that the dates could slip/change,” Prosser said in a follow-up tweet.
Prosser’s tweets jibe with a DigiTimes report from last week, that said sources from within Apple’s supply chain indicated that the tech giant could launch two 6.1-inch models in a first phase and 6.7- and 5.4-inch devices in a second.
Apple CFO Luca Maestri confirmed during Apple’s earnings call in July that the iPhone would launch a “few weeks later” than usual, indicating an October release date.
