Apple today released iOS 13.5.1 and iPadOS 13.5.1, minor updates to the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Last week Apple released version 13.5 of both operating systems, which included the new COVID-19 Exposure Notification API, FaceTime changes, and other fixes and improvements.
The update is available on all compatible devices over-the-air via the Settings app. To access the update, go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”
While Apple’s release notes for the update only indicates that it includes “important security updates,” Apple’s security content document for the update indicates that it fixes the vulnerability that allows the unc0ver 5.0 jailbreak that was released last week that worked on all recent versions of iOS, including version 13.5.
