Leaker Jon Prosser says Apple has a new Apple TV 4K, codename: “Neptune T1125,” ready to hit shelves, and it could launch the new set-top box at any time.
A new Apple TV 4K model has been long-rumored. However, Prosser’s Thursday morning tweet is the first to shed any light on a possible upcoming release of the new 4K-capable streaming box.
New Apple TV 4K with A12X – 64GB/128GB ready to ship. 👀
Codename: Neptune T1125
Another one of those things that could drop any time. Apple got no chill right now 😬😂
I’ll let you know if/when I hear a date. Who knows, maybe Apple can keep it a secret from me 🤗

The A12X is the processor found in the first-generation 11-inch iPad Pro and the third generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro from 2018. The current Apple TV 4K box uses an A10X processor.
While the current Apple TV 4K’s A10X can easily handle 4K streaming and casual gaming, the new A12X would offer more processing power for more-demanding Apple Arcade Games, while also offer economies of scale for Apple.
As is usual, nothing is set in stone until Apple makes an official announcement, so keep a grain of your favorite salt substitute handy when reading reports like this.
