Apple on Wednesday seeded the second beta of their upcoming iOS 13.4.5 and iPadOS 13.4.5 updates to developers for testing. The new beta comes two weeks after the first beta release, and one month after the public releases of iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4.
Beta builds are available to developers over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. Developers can also download the new betas from the Apple Developer Center.
While the new beta appears to contain mostly bug-fixes, it does appear to contain a few new features.
As noted by MacRumors, it may address an issue with Personal Hotspot that prevents it from working for some users and it could also fix a VPN-related vulnerability.
9to5Mac discovered the while listening to a song in Apple Music, a user can tap the Share button and then select Instagram to generate a Story with the song title and album name, plus a matching animated background.
Once a song is shared on Instagram, other people should then be able to tap on the song name and listen to it in the Apple Music app.
The above new features may or may not make it into the final version of iOS 13.4.5, only time and testing results will tell.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on your daily driver iPhone or iPad, instead only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
