2020 is shaping up to be a good year for Aukey’s wired and wireless charging technology. Their new Unity Wireless 100W 4-in-1 USB-C hub can fast charge Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro Max, support Apple’s new 16” MacBook Pro that uses a 96W USB-C wall adapter, and Qi wireless charge their own Key Series T10 Premium True Wireless earbuds.
For $72.99 from their website or via Amazon, this travel hub could be the only one you need.
Seeing the Unite Wireless hub in action during Pepcom was eye-opening. Aukey had an iPhone on top wirelessly charging, while a MacBook Pro was sending out video to a 4K monitor via HDMI and playing media from an attached USB storage drive.
This was a form factor for a travel hub that I had not yet seen. Most of the other travel hubs attach to the side of a laptop and are thin with a few ports. Aukey’s supports up to 100W of Power Delivery charging, has two USB 3.0 ports with a 5Gbps transfer rate, and a 10W Qi wireless charging coil on top.
Use the top Qi wireless charging pad on top to power up Aukey’s T10 Premium True Wireless earbuds. Their case offers up to 17hrs of battery power in addition to the seven hours the earbuds have. Get up to 24hrs of battery life from the kit.
The T10 True Wireless earbuds fit and stay in much better than the AirPods because the gel plugs fit in the ear and have a small fin on the outside. If you move your head quickly to one side or bend down, they will not fall out of your ears.
Beyond fit and battery life, the Key Series T10 earbuds produce a nice sound for many types of music from classical to Top 40. The bass is not overpowering so you can hear the finer aspects to each track. The earbuds sound like they have been tuned.
One of the best features of the Unity Wireless 100W USB-C hub is that it has a full-sized HDMI port. This saves you from having to carry a Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C to HDMI cable. Going to make a presentation? Take this hub with you and use the office’s HDMI cable to set everything up.
Aukey’s wired charging technology is about to get upgraded yet again with their GaNFast partnership. Navitas, the creator of GaNFast technology reduces the size of wall chargers compatible with USB-C Power Delivery down to what last year’s 18W 3A small wall chargers looked like, yet these now support up to 100W. GaNFast is a wonderful breakthrough in charging technology that the industry has been wishing for.
Until these new GaNFast chargers get released from Aukey in early 2020, invest in their Unity Wireless 100W 4-in-1 USB-C hub to be ready. Use your USB-A cables for your other devices now without having to buy adapter cables.
They also produce a range of reinforced cables, like braided USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to Lightning, and a USB-C to Lightning cable that is necessary to fast charge the newest iPhone.
GaNFast is a game-changer and a welcomed innovation for the entire accessory industry. Aukey’s cables support the latest and greatest iPhone, MacBook Pro, Android smartphones and Qi wireless enabled gear like the AirPods Pro and Key Series T10 earbuds. Aukey is throwing down the gauntlet in 2020 for charging and connectivity technology.
