According to an interesting report detailed by All Things Digital, iPhone users account for up to two thirds of mobile devices connecting to Gogo’s in-flight Wi-Fi service, while iPod Touch devices make up 20%.
The report also indicates that Android accounts for just 12% of connected devices, while BlackBerry devices make up 6%, and devices on other platforms aren’t used enough to factor in.
AllThingsD also notes the iPad isn’t included in the mobile numbers. Mobile devices pay slightly lower charges for the in-flight Wi-Fi service than larger devices like tablets and laptops do. The iPad is reportedly popular too, clocking in with more than a third of larger devices.
