Now that Lion is officially among us, it appears that the only two “big freaking iDeal” releases left to wait for from Apple are iOS 5 and the upcoming iPhone 5, both of which are expected to arrive this Fall. A new report, however, suggests that we may be seeing the iPhone 5 sometime soon, as it seems that stock of iPhone 4 units is beginning to slim.
Verizon is now reportedly clearing out their stock of existing iPhone 4s – a typical sign that a new release is well on its way. Verizon, AT&T, and accessory manufacturers also seem to be offering a lot of discounts and deals on iPhone accessories, further fanning the flames.
Currently, most people are expecting the iPhone 5 to be released this September, possibly around the same time as Apple’s typical September iPod event. The new iPhone is widely expected to be a “world phone” with support for additional US networks, an 8MP camera, a dual-core Apple A5 processor, and full 1080 video recording capabilities, as well as a possible thinner form factor (at least according to these supposed [and dubious] leaked pictures). Finally, last but certainly not least, the next iPhone will almost certainly mark the debut of iOS 5.
What are you looking forward to in the next iPhone? Let us know!
