EA has announced a new free play version of their popular Sims franchise is on the way to iOS devices. The Sims Mobile is based on the The Sims 4 “legacy challenge” mode. Players will build and maintain a family across multiple generations.
SHAPE YOUR SIMS’ LEGACY
Shape your Sims’ families over multiple generations. When your Sims accomplish their career goals and retire, you’ll be rewarded with Heirlooms that unlock hobbies and careers for future generations, allowing new Sims to tell deeper stories.
As has come to be expected from a Sims game, players will guide their Sims through their life, building relationships, making a home, maintaining a career, and other goals.
EA hasn’t revealed much else about the game. However, the trailer, (seen below) does reveal the game will include classic Sims gameplay, including the ability for players to custom create their characters, and their homes.
Meanwhile, the Sims franchise on the PC is still going strong.Earlier this week, EA announced that The Sims 4’s monthly active user base jumped 33% year-over-year.
The Sims Mobile on iOS and Android has already launched in Brazil, and should start rolling out globally soon.
