Apple on Monday seeded the first beta of watchOS 2.2.2 to developers, coming three weeks after the public release of watchOS 2.2.1, which was a minor bug fixes and performance improvement release. As today’s beta is of the X.X.2 type, it will also likely consist of under the hood improvements.
watchOS 2.2.2 Beta 1 – Build 13V601 – can be downloaded via the Watch app on a paired iPhone running the latest beta of iOS 9.3.3. Install by opening the Watch app, tapping “General” in the “My Watch” tab, and then tapping “Software Update.” To install the update, make sure the Apple Watch is connected to a charger, has at least 50% battery left, and is in range of the iPhone.
We’ll update this post with any changes that we discover or hear of in the watchOS 2.2.2 beta.
