Apple expanded it’s social footprint a bit more today, by adding a new Twitter account, @AppStoreGames, dedicated to sharing info about App Store games.
According to the account bio, which features the tagline, “Embrace the future of gaming,” it’s run by Apple’s team of Games Editors.
While Apple has long had an App Store Twitter account, it is a general feed, sharing all types of apps, while today’s new feed concentrates solely on gaming.
Games have been the foundation the App Store was built on, and today’s move reflects Apple’s effort to highlight various games and editor’s picks on a weekly basis.
At the time of this report, the new account already has over 2,600 followers and rising, even though it has only tweeted once, as seen below:
