Fitness tracker-maker Misfit on Thursday unveiled a new $20 Flash Link activity tracker, as well as a new Misfit Link app. The company also announced price reductions for their popular Flash and Shine activity trackers.
The new Misfit Link app offers Flash users the ability to remotely control their iPhone’s camera app or Snapchat; control their music with Spotify, Pandora, and other apps (pause, play, skip songs, adjust the volume); or even advance slides in a presentation, all with a click of the Flash’s button. The company says additional functionality is on the way, including IFTTT and Logitech Harmony integration. The iOS app is available today, free in the App Store. An Android version is coming in August.
Misfit’s new $20 activity tracker, the Flash Link, is also smart button compatible with the new Misfit Link app, and the device includes a clip to allow users to wear it anywhere. Flash Link is available now, via the Misfit website now, and will be available later this quarter in retail locations worldwide.
The activity tracking company also announced they are dropping the price on both the Shine and Flash activity trackers. They are now available for $69.99 and $29.99, respectively.
