Apple seeded the sixth beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on Monday. The new beta, coming just a week after the fifth beta release, was seeded to developers and public beta testers.
The new beta seed, build 14D127a, is available to registered developers via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store, and via download from the Mac Developer Center. Public Beta Testers can download the new seed via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.
Yosemite Recovery Update version 1.0 is also available, and improves the reliability of Yosemite Recovery when restoring a machine via a Time Machine backup.
OS X 10.10.3 includes several new features, including the new Photos for OS X app, which will integrate with the iCloud Photo Library and the Photos app in iOS. The new Photos app is designed to replace both iPhoto and Aperture.
Also introduced in OS X 10.10.3 are a redesigned emoji picker, more diverse emoji, and skin tone modifiers, as well as emoji for the iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch. Google 2-step verification support is also included.
