Apple continues to rapidly expand its retail presence in China, as the company has announced the opening of their next Chinese Apple store in Chongqing’s MixC mall on Saturday, March 7.
According to an update posted to Apple China’s website, the company is slated to hold a grand opening event at a new Apple Store location in the MixC mall in Chongqing on March 7. The outlet will be Apple’s third in the city.
The MixC location’s opening comes a little over a month following Apple’s most recent retail location opening in Chongqing at the end of January.
The MixC store is set to sport the usual sales floor and Genius Bar features, as well as customer workshop and One to One lessons areas.
Apple is working toward the goal of having 40 Apple Stores open in China by mid-2016. Apple Retail head Angela Ahrendts said in January that the company would be opening five new locations in China by February 19, which was Chinese New Year. However, the company missed their target, managing to open only two stores, in Hangzhou and Chongqing.
The MixC store’s grand opening will kickoff at 10AM, Saturday, March 7.
