9to5Mac:

The OS X 10.10.2 update was seeded to Apple employees this week under the build 14C109, which is a bit newer than the most recent developer preview. Sources provided the release notes, and there are some notable feature additions and fixes…

The new version will reportedly include the ability to view iCloud Drive in Time Machine, allowing users to track changes over time, and to locate lost items that were previously in their iCloud Drive accounts.

Apple also says the long-promised fixes for Wi-Fi issues will be included in the new update, fixing issues such as disconnections, slow loading web pages, and more.

Also said to be fixed is the issue where Spotlight loads remote email content, even when that ability is disabled in Yosemite’s native Mail application.

According to Apple employees, OS X 10.10.2 fixes include:

  • Resolves an issue that may cause WiFi to disconnect
  • Resolves an issue that may cause web pages to load slowly
  • Fixes an issue that caused Spotlight to load remote email content when the preference was disabled in Mail
  • Improves audio and video sync when using Bluetooth headphones
  • Adds the ability to browse iCloud Drive in Time Machine
  • Improves VoiceOver speech performance
  • Resolves an issue that causes VoiceOver to echo characters when entering text on a web page
  • Addresses an issue that may cause the input method to switch languages unexpectedly
  • Improves stability and security in Safari

Apple has yet to announce the release of the OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 update to the public, however we’ll let you know as soon as they do.
