iOS developer Joseph Riquelme just made every gift we all gave our parents this year for Christmas look like crap, as he gave his parents a gift that brought them to tears.

“Your house is paid off. Merry Xmas,” Riquelme said in a handwritten letter that he shared in a Facebook photo.
Riquelme, creator of iPhone video editing tool Videoshop, paid off his parent’s mortgage.
The heartwarming video below shows Riquelme pulling an envelope out of his hoodie and handing it to his mother. She takes a few seconds to read it and gasps, bursting into laughter and tears as she hands it to Riquelme’s father.
“Oh, hijo,” his father says to him after reading the note.
The video was shared around the Internet after it was posted on reddit, drawing more than 1.9 million views since Friday.
Riquelme’s app, Videoshop, a video editing tool for the iPhone and iPad, is currently available in the App Store for $0.99.
