In a addition to releasing iOS 8, Apple has also released an Apple TV update. The new software features a revamped look with new icons with a flatter, more iOS look to them.
Many of the icons have a new color scheme, and the on-screen fonts have also been updated.
The new update also includes support for several new features that have also been built into iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, including Family Sharing and iCloud Photo support.
Family Sharing allows families of up to six people, (sorry Brady Bunch), with iTunes accounts that use the same credit card to share content like apps, iBooks, music, movies, and more across all of their devices via iCloud. Users can also share photos, videos, reminders and more.
Today’s update also brings the Beats Music channel to Apple TV, allowing listeners to login to their Beats accounts to listen to music via their Apple TV.
To update your Apple TV software, just go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.” The update is limited to third-generation Apple TV units.
