Intuit released Quicken 2015 for Mac on Thursday, the first new Mac version of the popular finance and accounting suite in over seven years.
The new version of Quicken maintains many of the features found in previous releases, though some have been omitted. Among those missing are the ability to create a 12-month budget, show loan amortization, and pay bills directly within the application.
Also missing are long-time Windows features, such as multi-currency conversion and advanced investment options. Intuit is asking its customers to vote on which features should be added next. The features that are voted in will be added as free updates.
Quicken 2015 for Mac boasts an updated design, with a flat look and feel à la OS X Yosemite.
iOS users can sync data and monitor account balances and budgets from their iPhone or iPad to the Mac app.
Intuit last released an updated full version of Quicken for Mac back in 2007, however they did release an “essentials” version, with stripped down functionality, in 2010.
Users of previous Quicken and Quicken Essentials for Mac and Quicken for Windows versions will be able to import their data into the new version.
Quicken 2015 for Mac can be purchased from Quicken.com for $74.99. Quicken Money Management is available FREE for the iPhone and iPad in the App Store. [DIRECT LINK]
