You may remember the SETA iPhone stand from last year. The ingenious little stand held your iPhone at just the right angle, while allowing it to charge using your iPhone’s default Lightning or 30-pin sync cable. Now, the fine folks behind the SETA – 1.0 Innovations LLC – sent me a sample of their new SETA stand for the iPad and other tablets, and now that the SETA Tablet Stand Kickstarter project has started I wanted to share it with you.
From the SETA Tablet Stand Kickstarter page:
Like the SmartPhone Stand, the SETA™ Tablet Stand is designed to perform better than traditional tablet stands. It will suspend your tablet at the perfect viewing angle on your desk, nightstand, counter or any other smooth surface. It performs this function with far less effort than other stand. Simply push your tablet to attach then pull or twist to remove. Additionally, the T-Channel holds your cord where you need it when you need it…not on the floor.
Features include:
- Materials- aircraft grade aluminum + NanoSuction™ pads
- NanoSuction™- grips the tablet and grips the surface but is not sticky to the touch
- Universal- works with all tablets (except Kindle) and most hard cases.
- Total Cord Management- T-Channel is compatible with OEM tablet charging cables
- Timeless Design- works with yesterdays, todays and tomorrows tablets and cords
The SETA 7, while designed for smaller tablets works with all sizes of tablets, while the SETA 10 is designed for larger tablets but works with all sizes
SETA Color Options are: Black, Silver, and White (XFLEX, Silver)
The SETA folks also make the XFLEX tablet stand that we reviewed back in 2012, so you know the SETA comes form a good pedigree.
If you’re interested in the SETA, be sure to visit the SETA Kickstarter page and check it out. We were lucky to get an early version of the stand to try out, and we’ll let you know our experiences with it after we’ve had a chance to try it out.
Pledges for the SETA Tablet Stand range from $45 (A SETA Stand in your choice of size, with free shipping), all the way up to $185 for a package including the SETA and some other great items.
More information about the SETA Tablet Stand can be found at the SETA Kickstarter page.
Have you seen, or even better yet do you have, a current Kickstarter or Indiegogo project you’d like us to check out? If you do then drop me a line at chris@mactrast.com. Tell me all about the project, and why you think it would make a good subject for a future Kickstarter/Indiegogo Project of the Week. If I agree, I’ll contact you for more information.
