9to5Mac notes that more than 40% of Foxconn’s revenue comes from Apple, accounting for a large part of the company’s net profit of 106.7B new Taiwan dollars (US$3.5B)

Apple supplier Pegatron reported a 22% rise in earnings just a few days ago.

Apple sold 51 million iPhones in its first fiscal quarter of 2014, (calendar quarter four of 2013), up 7% from the same period the previous year. Apple also is reported to have sold a record 26 million iPads in the quarter, compared with 22.9 million in the year-ago period.

Foxconn – also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry – assembles the bulk of Apple’s iPhone 5s and iPad production. Pegatron handles most of the iPhone 5c and iPad mini assembly.
