iOS 19 will be unveiled at WWDC25 in June, and according to a private account on X, the new iPhone operating system will not be compatible with the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, or the iPhone XS Max. The account has provided accurate information on device compatibility in the past.
It appears that iOS 19 will be dropping support for the A12 Bionic chip, which powers the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.
The iPhones expected to have the ability to run iOS 19 are as follows:
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 16
