Apple today seeded the first public betas of its upcoming iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, and macOS Sequoia 15.5 updates for testing. The public betas come one day after Apple seeded developers the second developer betas of all three. Apple also released public betas of watchOS 11.5 and tvOS 18.5.

Public beta testers can download the updates by going to the Settings app, then tapping on “General” -> “Software Update” on iPhone and iPad devices, and going to “System Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update” on the Mac after opting into the beta through Apple’s public beta testing website.

iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, and ‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.5 are relatively minor updates, and only minor changes have been discovered.

The software likely focuses on bug fixes and security improvements behind the scenes. Apple is expected to release iOS 18.5, iPadOS 18.5, ‌macOS Sequoia‌ 15.5, and the other software updates sometime in May.
